Latest DVV1 Rule Change for Net Branding

4.5 cm mesh nets without DVV1 certificate

German Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL)

In the 1st and 2nd league it is still possible to use a net with 4.5 cm mesh size, provided it has additional branding on the mesh.

For nets with 4.5 cm mesh “without” mesh branding, no DVV inspection mark is issued. Exceptions for nets with mesh branding are still possible and are noted on the respective hall ID cards.

DVV – German Volleyball Association

Clubs and teams not playing in the 1st or 2nd league should request an appropriate exception from their respective regional league.

We are happy to create a drawing with your sponsor in advance for submission to the relevant association.

Mesh branding

As with our printed beach volleyball nets, volleyball nets without a DVV1 seal can be produced with branding on both sides.

Details and benefits

A separate logo is possible on each side—ideal if two sponsors want to share the cost.

Only a small weight increase of about 100 g to 200 g, depending on logo size.

We do not use digital printers or airbrush systems. A simple coat of paint is not as opaque as a fiber coating.

For the volleyball net we recommend a single-sided net branding that is then used on both sides of the net. This makes it possible to apply a logo readable on both sides of the net, or to use different logos on each side.

With the “old” technique, the coating appears mirrored on the back of the net.

Enquiry

If you send us a logo as vector artwork, we will be happy to provide a non-binding quote and a drawing.

Why we always create a design sketch

Not every logo is suitable for a net structure. With mesh openings, fine details like the dot on an "i" can fall through the mesh and disappear from the lettering.

✓ Ideal for nets

  • Bold, easy-to-read lettering
  • Eye-catching logos with clear shapes
  • Sufficiently large elements

✗ Not suitable

  • Delicate details and thin lines
  • Very small fonts or symbols

Sometimes small adjustments are enough – such as a slightly thicker line or an enlarged detail – without visibly changing the corporate design.

Send us your logo as a vector file – we'll create a free preview of how your branding will look on the net.

Since we produce nets for a wide variety of sports, leagues, and countries worldwide, we cannot be familiar with all specific rules – especially as they change frequently. We therefore ask you to independently check the currently applicable requirements (e.g., regarding logo sizes or distances) in your respective rulebook or with your governing body. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the branding complies with the relevant regulations.
