A printed net—so-called net branding—can also serve as an eye-catching advertising space and is used in football, handball and ice hockey, among others. These previously unused areas can generate additional advertising revenue for your club. We print logos or emblems directly onto the net in the largest possible size—clearly visible and high impact.

For ball-catching nets or spectator safety nets, we recommend single-sided net branding.

These coatings are not produced with conventional inks on digital printers or airbrush systems, because a simple coat of paint is not as opaque as a fiber coating. Opacity and light transmission would work against the effect, and the 3D look would be missing entirely.

Printing Technology for Sports Nets

We use weather-resistant, high-opacity UV substrates. On the front of the net, the net twine is thickened. This creates a partial surface enlargement on the net. The motif appears three-dimensional and bright to the eye. Visibility is increased compared to normal paint application.

Compare the printed mesh with the net body in the images. The logos are easier to recognize than the unprinted net itself. This effect cannot be achieved with simple color printing.

Why we always create a design sketch

Not every logo is suitable for a net structure. Unlike solid PVC banners, a net has construction-related mesh openings. Therefore, the logo should be applied to the net in a color that offers the best contrast – usually a white coating on a black net or vice versa.

Please also consider the effect of translucency: A catch net looks slightly translucent depending on the viewing angle. In addition, the colors behind the net (environment color) mix with the logo. A white logo may look different in front of a light-colored background than against a dark setting.

Since net branding often reaches enormous dimensions, the logo must be able to be enlarged without loss. Only vector data offers this flexibility without loss of quality during scaling.

Each net is custom-made, but the dimensions depend on technical factors such as mesh size, twine strength, and material. Every order is checked individually for its feasibility and the effort is calculated individually.
